No Flame, Little Pain
Going Home

Yesterday was a little rough but better than any other surgery recovery. Last night was the first time I was able to sleep since the surgery. Today, I am going home! Breakfast came and went and my food had still not arrived even though it was ordered. My nurse called and was told there was no order. This was the second time this happened to me in two days! I reordered but it had to be from the lunch menu. There were a few other major problems and we had to request a manager due to some blatant misconduct by my nurse. It seems like every time it is the day to leave your care and everything you are told prior gets changed. Regardless, I am now in the van on the way home!

So I did have some extra pain at times and some flame, but nothing like my past hospitalizations. I believe it was because my father and I were very proactive regarding pain management at the hospital, because I was off all narcotic pain medication prior to surgery so pain meds at hospital were more effective, and most importantly the power of prayer. I know my family and my church family were praying that my experience would be much different.
