His eyes burst open as pain tore through his body. He gasped for air; his lungs sinking down as if they were being crushed under some unseen object. Tears flooded his eyes, his back arched as the pain flowed through his veins. His hands shook violently as he clutched the rails of the bed, his knuckles turning white as he gripped tighter and tighter. He suddenly let out an awful yell, unable to bare the pain that gripped his soul. His heart sank as his right leg slowly began to shake sporadically. A bolt of lightening suddenly shot through his leg, burning like molten lava as it tore through his flesh and ricocheted down his leg. He cried out to God as he prayed for death, the only escape from this living hell that tormented him. As if on que his left leg started to shake. His conciseness slowly slipping away as his mind struggled to bare the burden of this torturous siege. Pain was all he knew. His eyes rolled back into his head, saliva spilling out of the sides of his mouth as he spoke incoherently. He was no longer human, his consciousness ripped from him, leaving nothing but a hollow shell. His soul drifted through the ether periodically coming back to the present just long enough to terrorize him once more with pain that only exists in hell’s deepest and darkest crevices.
Written on 6/3/21 Describing my level 10 pain. For the first 3 weeks in the hospital after having a motorcycle crash, I would go through level 10 pain for 4 to 5 hours straight 2 to 3 times per day. It took 10 doctors to finally find a medication to stop these hellish nightmares that sadly were very real. Words can never truly explain the hell I went through.
I have various podcasts that describe all I went through after my motorcycle crash.
