Each day Preacher RichD shares some of the insights from his Daily Bible Reading. You will notice his insights line up with Scripture, not within the box of a certain denomination.

Let Us
This is one of many passages that prove the concept of the Trinity. If there is an us there is more than one, yet there is only ONE GOD. The “US” based upon all of Scripture is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (We will see this as we study the Bible.)

Matthew 1:26
Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.”

Only Two Sexes
It is clear in the Bible there are only two sexes, male and female. It is clear that a person does not choose what sex they will be or want to be.
Genesis 1:27
So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Sidenote: Throughout the New Testament it talks about men and women and husband and wife. A man is a husband and a woman is a wife.
Matthew 19: 4
And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE,

Man Was Originally a Vegetarian
It is interesting that before the fall mankind only ate vegetables and fruits. Why? There was no death before the fall.
Genesis 1:29
Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the [al]surface of all the earth, and every tree [am]which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;

The Seventh Day Sabbath
God blessed it, sanctified it, made it holy. There is not a single verse in the Bible that states or insinuates that God at some point cursed or made the Sabbath unholy.

Genesis 2:2-3
2 By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

Exodus 20:11
11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and everything that is in them, and He rested on the seventh day; for that reason the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Jesus Bloodline
Jesus’ bloodline was made up of a rape/incest victim, a prostitute, an adultereress, and many wicked kings.
Matthew 1:1-16
Ancestors-Tamar, Rahab, Bathsheba, and some Wicked Kings.

Mary’s Pregnancy
Mary is pregnant and Joseph’s response before he knew how she got pregnant was to protect her from condemnation. By his act of mercy and kindness, he had the blessed opportunity to be the earthly father of Jesus.
Matthew 1
18 Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit. 19 And her husband Joseph, since he was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly. 20 But when he had thought this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a Son; and you shall name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Wisdom
God wants to avoid wicked individuals; focus on the Word of God; and be like a tree that stays where it is planted-steadfast in the Lord.
Psalm 1
Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2 But his delight is in the Law of the LORD,
And on His Law he meditates day and night.
3 He will be like a tree planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season,
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Wisdom
God desires of us to have wisdom; use discernment; to be teachable; walk in righteousness, justice and integrity; be cautious; receive counsel; fear the Lord.
Proverbs 1
1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:
2 To know wisdom and instruction,
To discern the sayings of understanding,
3 To receive instruction in wise behavior,
Righteousness, justice, and integrity;
4 To give prudence to the naive,
To the youth knowledge and discretion,
5 A wise person will hear and increase in learning,
And a person of understanding will acquire wise counsel,
6 To understand a proverb and a saying,
The words of the wise and their riddles.
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
Fools despise wisdom and instruction.
